Unlock the endless possibilities of AI + smart spaces! The first session of the 2025 "AI+" Symposium on Innovative Technologies and Applications was successfully held

Publish Time:2025-07-14

On July 10, 2025, the first session of the 2025 "AI+" Sharing Session on Innovative Technologies and Applications was successfully held. The event was hosted by the Metaverse and Geospatial Information Working Committee of the China Association for Geographic Information Industry and organized by Beijing Brilliant Technologies Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as: Brilliant  Co., Ltd.). With the theme of "AI Dimension Elevation, Smart Space", the session featured sharing and discussions by industry experts on topics such as the current status and trends of AI development, innovative technologies, and how AI reconstructs the new paradigm for the development of spatial intelligence.

Empowering Urban Governance with Spatial Intelligence: A Leap towards Smart City Wisdom
At this sharing session, Mr. Tao Chao, Chief Engineer of Guangzhou South Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation titled "Spatial Intelligence Assisting Smart City Industry Applications." Mr. Tao pointed out that the current AI is characterized by the mainstreaming of multimodal capabilities, a leap in reasoning abilities, and the popularization of intelligent agent technologies. Model evolution has shifted from prioritizing scale to prioritizing efficiency, with the "density law" emerging as a new direction. While AI empowers industries, it also faces challenges such as high energy consumption and security and ethical risks. Companies need to fully utilize AI to build a system from multiple dimensions, including business applications, algorithm layers, platform layers, and technology layers.

Taking South Intelligent's practices as an example, in the field of smart water management, a digital twin is used as the foundation to build a smart system that provides services such as intelligent Q&A. In the field of smart airports, technologies such as AI large models, spatial base, and simulation engines are used to achieve management upgrades and operational optimization. Intelligent land management is based on relevant technical frameworks to build intelligent agents, which can perform functions such as compliance review and report generation. The YOLO algorithm is also used for land type recognition.

Mr. Tao emphasized that in the future, it is necessary to focus on the quality of data samples, carry out intelligent agent transformation, strengthen the development of multimodal industry large models, and enhance AI's perception and decision-making capabilities for unstructured data, in order to better empower smart cities and various industries with spatial intelligence.

AI + Digital Twins: A New Path for the Advancement of Civil Aviation Intelligence

Mr. Wu Minglang, Senior Algorithm Engineer at Beijing Brilliant Technologies Co., Ltd., shared a report titled "AI Empowering Civil Aviation: Exploration of Intelligent Applications and Innovation Practices." Mr. Wu pointed out that the civil aviation industry is showing a positive development trend both at present and in the future, and relevant policies and measures are actively promoting the integration and innovation of new infrastructure, system coordination, and AI, as well as the implementation of innovative technologies.

In the process of building smart civil aviation airports, AI + digital twins provide a new advanced approach. By combining AI recognition, algorithmic model analysis with the simulation and optimization of digital twins, it can be applied to specific business scenarios such as taxiway route recommendation, status estimation of quick departure process, taxi speed sampling, taxi time prediction, spatiotemporal prediction of passenger flow, simulation scenarios, and optimization of special vehicle scheduling, as well as corporate knowledge base. It can effectively improve the processing efficiency of related businesses, save human and material resources, and achieve the intelligent transformation and development of airport business.

Faced with the challenges and problems of the civil aviation industry, such as the scarcity of high-quality data, complex business rules, and poor data quality, Mr. Wu Minglang said that in the future, efforts can be made in the direction of AI + digital twin 2D to 3D, multi-business collaboration of intelligent agents, and reinforcement learning to optimize predictive models. This will help the civil aviation industry better achieve the integration of AI + and create a truly intelligent civil aviation.

Currently, artificial intelligence is driving the deep integration of information technologies such as geographic information, digital twins, and cloud computing with disruptive force. The spatial information industry is undergoing a full-chain intelligent transformation from data collection to decision-making services.

As the organizer of this sharing session, the Metaverse and Geospatial Information Working Committee of the China Geospatial Information Industry Association has always been committed to promoting the integration of geographic information technology, emerging information technologies, and industries, and to promoting high-quality industrial development. This sharing session is not only a showcase of technical achievements, but also the beginning of building an industry ecosystem. In the future, the committee will continue to play the role of a bridge and link, integrate resources from industry, academia, and research, and continuously bring more exciting "AI+" innovative technology application sharing sessions. It will build an ecological exchange platform, absorb wisdom from all parties, and help the application and implementation of AI technology in the field of intelligent space, injecting new intelligent power into the development of China's spatial information industry.
