Recently, at the 2025 China Intelligent Transportation Association Science and Technology Awards Ceremony held alongside the 20th China Intelligent Transportation Congress (ITSC 2025) organized by the China Intelligent Transportation Association (CITA), the project titled "Static Data Governance and Application of Digital Base for Large Airport Airfield Areas," jointly completed by Beijing Brilliant Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Brilliant Technologies"), Shanghai Airport (Group) Co., Ltd., and the Civil Aviation Administration of China Science and Technology Research Institute, among other units, was honored with the "Science and Technology Progress Award of China Intelligent Transportation Association." This recognition was granted for the project's key technological innovations and large-scale implementation achievements in the field of civil aviation digital infrastructure.

The China Intelligent Transportation Association Science and Technology Progress Award is a significant accolade established with the approval of the National Office for Science & Technology Awards, aiming to recognize individuals and collectives who have achieved outstanding results in scientific research, technological innovation and development, and the promotion and application of scientific and technological achievements in the intelligent transportation field.

The award-winning project addresses three major challenges in airport airfield data governance: difficulty in digital modeling, difficulty in dynamically constructing digital spaces, and difficulty in real-time loading of moving targets. It provides a comprehensive digital solution for enhancing operational safety and efficiency in large airport airfield areas. The project resolves the issue of accurately mapping the complex physical space and real-time operational status of large airport airfield areas, achieving digital operation situation monitoring and rapid response across the entire domain and all elements of the airfield, empowered by the digital base.
This project has established replicable and promotable industry benchmark practices. Its outcomes have been applied and promoted in over ten large airports, including Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport, and Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, elevating the level of digital infrastructure and system collaboration capabilities in airfield areas. Through the deep integration and intelligent application of static and dynamic data, it has tangibly improved airport safety operations and maintenance management efficiency, generating significant safety benefits, operational benefits, and social value. This provides solid support for the high-quality development of smart airports.
